The role involves joining the Life & Health (L&H) Client Markets Team in Cape Town, where you will play an important role in pricing life and health business and developing and designing products and services to meet client needs. You will support the team in providing high-quality actuarial input to clients and the cross-functional team within Swiss Re.
Specific responsibilities include supporting Senior Client Managers with new business development, supporting day-to-day pricing work across different lines of business in target markets, performing data analysis on emerging risk experience, contributing to the design of insurance products consistent with pricing basis and risk management environment, providing quotes to clients, and collecting, analyzing, and presenting data collected for annual industry-wide surveys.
The Client Markets team is tasked with delivering Swiss Re's reinsurance solutions to clients, setting strategy, and ensuring effective communications between cross-functional account teams. The company is looking for individuals who are willing and ambitious to take on new challenges and develop their reinsurance acumen.
Applicants must have a successful university degree in Actuarial Sciences or equivalent, a minimum of 5 Actuarial Exemptions obtained, proficiency in MS Office applications, and experience in re/insurance through vacation work or internships. Programming languages like R are also preferred.
